FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why should I hire Fuzzy Wuzzy Petsitters?
A: Isn’t it about time you stopped asking friends and neighbors to take care of your cat while you’re out of town, or to stop by and let your dog out for a pee break while you’re at work? Hiring Fuzzy Wuzzy Petsitters will ensure you’re hiring a professional company who will always be there for your needs. We are reliable, trustworthy, and always put your pets’ needs as our top priority. Not to mention, we kind of absolutely love what we do, and all the pets we get to care for. We couldn’t imagine doing anything but filling our days with kitty head rubs and wet doggy kisses.

Q: What areas do you cover?
A: We currently service Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and Lake Worth areas

Q: I’m moving to your area soon, how do I get started with your services?
A: With all new clients we do require a new client consultation. We come to your home and go over the care of your pets and go over any health concerns or general care of your pets. For new clients moving to the area, we do ask that you are in your new residence before we can schedule this consultation as it does take place in your home (unless it’s in home boarding then it’s our residence). We can make exceptions in circumstances that do not allow for this and meet in a mutually convenient location.

Q: Are you insured and bonded?
A. Yes we are! We are fully insured and bonded through Business Insurers Of The Carolinas

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A. We accept cash, or check.

Q: Can I meet the pet care provider who will be caring for my pet?
A: Yes of course! We require a new client consultation prior to the start of all services to ensure your pet is a good fit for Fuzzy Wuzzy Petsitters, and to get better acquainted. Your primary pet care provider will be present if given enough notice prior to the start of services and if you have a set schedule requiring services on but in the event you require pet sitting for future dates or you wish to obtain occasional dog walking services the primary care provider may change depending on availability.

Q: What health requirements do my pets need in order to obtain services by Fuzzy Wuzzy Petsitters?
A: Fuzzy Wuzzy Petsitters requires all pets to be vetted annually and up to date on all of their vaccinations. For dogs this means parvo, distemper, and rabies vaccination, as well as being on a flea and tick preventative.

Q: My cat requires medication, are you able to administer this?
A: If you are a current pet sitting client and we are familiar with your cat, we’ll go over the medication they require and determine if their medication will be complicated to administer or not. For cats that are docile and receive medication easily there is no charge for pilling, or liquid medication given in their food or orally. In the event your cat requires a more complicated medication such as diabetic injections, or an inhaler treatment there would be a $5 charge per visit for the administration of these medications.

If your cat is aggressive, or stays hidden to the point of being unable to be retrieved, we will not be able to administer medication for the safety of our team members and your pet.

Q: How will I know for sure if the pet care provider/dog walker has come that day?
A: For all of our clients we leave a detailed note after each visit.

Q: Can I leave a gratuity for my pet care provider?
A: Absolutely! As service providers, any gratuity left to the pet care provider, while never expected, is always greatly appreciated. A gratuity can be put on the total bill or left for the pet care provider to retrieve at the time of their visit. The tip in total will be given to your pet care provider.

Q: My dog is a ___________ breed, are you able to still walk them?
A: Fuzzy Wuzzy Petsitters does not partake in any dog breed discrimination and believe every dog breed has the potential to be a wonderful dog – free of the breeds stereotypes. We love them all!
